BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY WORKSHOP: If you didn’t grow up in poverty, you may be unaware of the “hidden rules” that govern many aspects of life for the poor. People living in poverty are often in survival mode and support systems taken for granted in the middle class and wealth, are largely non-existent. This one day workshop will challenge your preconceptions and broaden your perspective on those living in poverty. If we want to be the hands, feet and voice of Jesus, within our community, wouldn’t it be beneficial to have a deeper understanding of their challenges – and strengths, to understand more of the people we want to reach out to.
